You may also choose to hold your wedding ceremony at the Three Swans
and we have three rooms that are registered for conducting civil weddings and partnerships. Once you have made provisional arrangements with us, you will need to contact the Superintendent Registrar to confirm that the date is available. The Three Swans has no involvement with the fee for the Registrar and can take no responsibility for the organisation of the service and this should be
discussed solely with the Registrars. The Registrar will explain the
conditions of the Marriage Act 1994, but do remember that :-
• Any music should be agreed with the Registrar and supplied on CD.
• The room in which the Civil Ceremony takes place can have no
religious bearing.
• The consumption of food, drink or smoking is not permitted in the
Marriage Room for one hour prior to or during the ceremony.
• No photography is permitted during the ceremony, except by
invitation of the Registrar, and although unobtrusive video recording
is generally possible this should be agreed with the Registrar.
